DanceWest Ballet Alumni

Graduates of The School of Dance West Ballet and DanceWest Ballet company have gone on to join professional dance companies throughout the United States. Some alumni further their dance education at college and universities with prestigious dance programs. Britt Posmer is a member of the Chicago professional company Moose Project. Maura Galetto studied dance at a University in Iowa and want on to study physical therapy in undergrad and graduate school. She is now a practicing physical therapist in the Chicagoland area. Michelle Williams is in her second year of dancing as a member of Dayton Contemporary Dance Company II. Jenny Meek received a full scholarship for the Craft of Choreography Conference. She is currently a member of a professional Chicago modern company Melissa Thodos. Jenna Khan received scholarships to Arizona Ballet, Eglevsky Ballet, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. She is currently studying at Northwestern University in Chicago. Sara Saye is a current student at University of Illinois, Champaign Urbana. Holly Howard went on to perform at the Arie Crown Theater in Chicago as a member of Chicago Tribune?s production of The Nutcracker. She currently resides in New York City practicing musical therapy. Meridith Bell currently performs with professional Chicago modern company Dance Motivity. She is a faculty member at The School of Dance West Ballet. Elizabeth Bell received two scholarships to Milwaukee Ballet, as well as scholarships to Alexandra Ballet and Southwest Florida Ballet. As a member to the RDA Honor Company Project, Ms. Bell was selected to attend the International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi. While completing her degree in bio-engineering at University of Illinios at Chicago, Elizabeth also performed with Dayton Ballet and danced principle roles as a guest artist with DanceWest Ballet Company. Currently, Elizabeth is working as Ballet Mistress for the DanceWest Ballet Junior Company. Joanna Leeman, Katy Maxwell, and Chelsea Brown are all dancing and performing at Hope College in Michigan while working towards a degree in dance. Armand Moyano has danced since the age of four. He has studied with The School of DanceWest Ballet for twelve years. As a member of DanceWest Ballet Company, Armand has danced solo roles in the production of The Nutcracker including Russion, Chinese and Harlequin Doll. He attended the Interlochen Fine Arts Summer Intensive on scholarship and participated in the Reginal Dance America Choreography Conference in Pennsylvania in the summer of 2002. In the fall of 2004 Armand will be attending Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan where he received a scholarship.
